Financial Advisor
Office Location: Buffalo

At AFP our Financial Advisors focus on helping clients assess and meet the core financial needs of growth, income, protection, and legacy. This position would be housed in the firm’s Buffalo location, providing the Financial Advisor with office space in an established AFP office and a tremendous opportunity to supercharge the growth of their existing practice. The advisor will partner with employees in AFP’s tax and accounting departments to identify and serve client investment and financial planning needs. Job Responsibilities
- Meet and profile prospective clients, review investment goals, prepare presentations, recommend investment products, follow up on client contacts, and help customers meet their needs using the AFP planning process.
- Build strong relationships with existing AFP clients, profile and execute on new business, effectively work an existing book of business, assess member needs and recommend the right combination of products and solutions by consistently using the prescribed sales process.
- Adhere to all FINRA and insurance rules and regulations, as well as to all company policies.
- Achieve sales and revenue goals and meet certain professional growth and development goals.
- Participate in execution of local marketing development plan.
- Responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and following up with clients to manage future investment needs.
Job Requirements
- FINRA Series 6/7, 63, 65/66 registrations required
- Life/health and variable insurance licenses
- Minimum of five years financial services sales & service experience
- Existing client base with an expectation of transition
- Strong people, sales and relationship skills
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter eager to develop and expand knowledge
- Have a satisfactory background check and securities registration with our licensed broker-dealer and/or verify all required insurance licensing.
- Have all outside business activity reviewed to ensure no conflicts of interest exist and applicable regulatory requirements are met

Senior Accountant
Position Summary
Senior Accountants should have robust interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Senior Accountants should provide the Accounting Department with operational efficiencies as well as guide junior staff members in completing workflow. Senior Accountants are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.
Management/reporting responsibilities
- This position has no direct reports and reports to a manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of personal, business, and informational tax returns.
- Reviewing "A" level personal tax returns.
- Processing of monthly, quarterly and annual business accounting work.
- Assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Preparation of Audit work papers.
- Supervise staff.
- Providing assistance to Accounting Manager on project based work
Worksite location & conditions
- This position is based in one of Allied Financial Partners four (4) locations, but does offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis
- This is a full time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours during tax season.
- The position does not require regular travel; although on-site visits to local clients or other offices may be required.
Compensation
- Non-exempt compensation is dependent upon experience and education.

- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Accounting field is required.
- Should possess or be working towards a CPA designation.

Bookkeeper
Position Summary
Bookkeepers should have deep communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Bookkeepers create financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.
