Tax Manager


About The Position

Tax Managers should have well-developed leadership, interpersonal, technology, communication, and analytical skills.  Tax Managers are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directing and reviewing the work of the Accounting staff.
  • Perform assessments and offer solutions to clients.
  • Oversee the work on various project based work.
  • Conducting research and planning then making recommendations to the Partners.
  • Identifying and recommending new business opportunities for the firm.
  • Business development and manage client relationships.
  • Providing assistance to Partners on project based work.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Accounting field is required.
  • A CPA designation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including verbal and written.

Worksite location & conditions

  • This position is based in one of Allied Financial Partners six (6) locations, but does offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis
  • This is a full time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours during tax season.
  • The position does not require regular travel; although on-site visits to local clients or other offices may be required.

Compensation

  • Non-exempt compensation is dependent upon experience and education.

Senior Accountant

About The Position

Position Summary

Senior Accountants should have robust interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Senior Accountants should provide the Accounting Department with operational efficiencies as well as guide junior staff members in completing workflow. Senior Accountants are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.

Management/reporting responsibilities

  • This position has no direct reports and reports to a manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparation of personal, business, and informational tax returns.
  • Reviewing "A" level personal tax returns.
  • Processing of monthly, quarterly and annual business accounting work.
  • Assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Preparation of Audit work papers.
  • Supervise staff.
  • Providing assistance to Accounting Manager on project based work

Worksite location & conditions

  • This position is based in one of Allied Financial Partners four (4) locations, but does offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis
  • This is a full time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours during tax season.

About You

Staff Accountant

About The Position

Position Summary

Staff accountants should have deep communication, organizational, and analytical skills to provide key operational support to the Accounting Department in processing returns and completing business accounting work. Staff Accountants are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.

Management/reporting responsibilities

  • This position has no direct reports and reports to a manager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparation of personal, business, and informational tax returns.
  • Processing of monthly, quarterly and annual business accounting work.
  • Assisting in the preparation of client work papers.
  • Providing assistance to Senior Accountants.
  • This position may include new responsibilities and tasks or changes as management deems necessary for employee or firm development.

  • This position is based in one of Allied Financial Partners four (4) locations, but does offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis
  • This is a full time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours during tax season.
  • The position does not require regular travel; although on-site visits to local clients or other offices may be required.
